Hotels in Muscat

It’s important to know that Muscat is stretched out along a 50 km coastline so there isn’t really a true city centre which makes choosing where to stay very important.  If you are looking to explore rather than just relaxing on the beach then Muttrah and Old Muscat which is close to the royal palace and the many restaurants.

Muscat offers some of the cleanest white-sand beaches in the Arabian Peninsula and as a result thousands of turtles flock to the beaches of Oman to lay their eggs and you may bet the chance to see the hatchlings as they emerge.  Other than turtle watching, there are numerous water sports on offer , including parasailing, jet skiing, and scuba diving.

The most popular beaches in Muscat are Al Qurrum, Qantab, and Kalbuh and Qurum beach, in particular, is very popular as it is one of the cleanest and best beaches in Muscat. The water is crystal clear making it the perfect location for  snorkeling and scuba diving.
