Conveniently located and well-maintained parkland course
One of the best-maintained golf courses in Chiang Mai, the Dennis Griffiths-designed Summit Green Valley is located in a lowland area of unique natural landscaping, just 20 minutes from downtown Chiangmai. It's a challenging course characterised by numerous elevation changes, abundant water hazards, and well-placed bunkers.
The fairways, lined with palm trees, are seemingly wide, but golfers must exercise caution since water hazards and bunkers are abundant in the landing areas, narrowing the fairways and leaving no room for wayward shots. The greens are large and receptive, and putting speed is moderate to slightly fast.
The 416-yard, par-4 9th hole is particularly memorable, requiring a tee shot over water and navigating sand traps on either side of the landing area. The second shot is also over water to an elevated island green surrounded by big palm trees.
The clubhouse offers a full range of services, including a well-stocked pro shop, locker room facilities, dining and refreshment areas, and massage services. The staff is courteous and professional, ensuring a comfortable experience for golfers.
Due to its convenient location near the airport and town center, Summit Green Valley is an excellent choice for golfers looking to play on the same day as their arrival or departure in Chiang Mai.

Not worth the money requested at 5250 baht
Mediocre and there are better golf courses in Northern Thailand that are reasonably priced and the condition is so much better than Summit Green Valley, Chiang MaiWell maintained course relatively closer to city centre
Having played a few other courses in Chiang Mai, Summit Green Valley was relatively quicker to get to but less picturesque as it’s nearer to the city. The course is on the long side for the average golfer. The fairways and greens were actually the best maintained out of the few courses we went to. However the clubhouse is old and the not very well serviced. For example it was pouring with rain when we arrived and I asked if we could have towels for the cart and were told that they didn’t provide any towels. But overall the attitude of the staff was good. Would recommend.Service was not great. Much better places to play
Staff on there phones just grunting directions. Also they were confused about my booking. Caddy unhelpful. Due to weather cut to 9 holes. Overall did not enjoy.Course Info
