Gassan Panorama Golf Club is located just 25 minutes north of Chiang Mai in Thailand.  Chiang Mai is situated in northern Thailand and is very different from the coastal resort towns.  It is easy to reach thanks to the Chiang Mai International Airport which is served by Thai Airways and Singapore Airlines among others.

If you are travelling from a place which does not fly direct to Chiang Mai you can easily fly to Bangkok and catch a short, connecting flight.  With Gassan Panorama Golf Club waiting for you, it is well worth the trip.

Gassan Panorama has been open for play since 2006 but has recently undergone a major redevelopment having been closed for close to a decade.  The course opened again in 2017 and is one of the longest in Thailand, playing to 7,761 yards.

The most noticeable feature of the golf course is the large lake which sits in the middle of the course.  There is also water on both the left and right sides of the golf course.  While water comes into play on several holes, this should not deter you from playing at Gassan Panorama, although you might want to ensure you have plenty of balls in your bag.

However, there are also plenty of bunkers for players to contend with and in conjunction with the length and water hazards, Gassan Panorama is not an easy golf course to master.  If you want to score low you will need to play well but its not always easy to keep your concentration on the golf  thanks to the lovely views of the mountains in the distance.

Interestingly, there is not a single par-5 on the golf course at Gassan Panorama yet it is a long golf course, so where does the distance come from?  There is one par-6 hole, which measures 666 yards from the back tee and this adds considerable distance to the overall golf course.

Having been recently renovated to a very high standard, you will find the golf course is in fantastic condition.  The quality of the fairways, greens and bunkers is superb and you will have no complaints about the role of the ball at Gassan Panorama.

Having completed a round of golf, the day continues with a visit to one of the Thai or International restaurants inside the clubhouse.  The clubhouse itself is a stunning mix of European and Arabian influences, featuring white and gold domes which make it look more like a palace than a golf clubhouse.

In addition to the restaurants, Gassan Panorama has locker rooms, a pro shop and a banquet hall but it’s the golf course itself which is the highlight of the show.

Booking was smooth and the driver was nice and polite.

If the staff could speak more English and explain clearly, it would be better. Overall mark 7 out of 10.

Excruciating pace with too many flights.

Course was in poor condition, greens are irregular and poorly maintained, and too many ill-mannered flights playing. Caddies are enthusiastic and well trained. Facilities are poor… really poor. Cheap price kinda explains why its so cheap. I would not recommend.

Gassan Panorama Golf Club

they have flights of 7 people and makes play waiting forever if u are behind them... club house is tacky and unacceptable.

fair condition. design is good but almost every hole is the same like you carry over water on tee shot and over water approaching green, so it gets a little boring. I will not repeat any gassan course again because I heard from caddies that maximum per flight is 10.... cheap outfit..

Gassan, all golf courses with names on them are the worst

Green isn't draining, he's slobbering, he's managing the fairway, and his caddie isn't helping the game, she's picking mushrooms! The Gassan Kuntan Gassan Panorama is the worst course I ever want to go again

Cheap and good experience

It's really not bad considering the price that I had paid. The green were true, well cut and maintained. The difficulty level I would say very easy. The layout of the entire course is roughly the same. Bunkers on the left and right side of fairway or water on the left and right side. And green straight ahead. It's more of a leisure course. It's kinda short too. Caddie was friendly too.
