 With its temperate climate, mountainous terrain and colourful mix of hill-tribe peoples,  Northern Thailand is a very special destination for many travellers. Located 650 km north of Bangkok, Chiang Mai is Thailand's second largest city, the heart of this historic and beautiful region.

Chiang Mai offers its tourist visitors a good selection of available activities from white water rafting to city temple tours & trips to see traditional Hill tribes people,  so you can be sure you will get cultural and some adventure experience whatever you choose to see and do in Northern Thailand.  The City of Chiang Mai originally built inside a fort offers a wealth of sightseeing attractions, with the most popular being Wat Prathat Doi Suthep temple, located on top of a mountain which offer stunning views over the city.  Taxi's and tuk tuks are easy to get, and prices negotiable.  Being in a land of skilled people it would be a sin not to buy some of the local handicrafts on offer in Chiang Mai's night bazaar, and local shops, and again use your bargaining skills where ever you are shopping!

Doi Suthep Temple Tour

Our guide will meet you at your hotel where you will begin your journey to visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, which is the most sacred of temples and contains a holy relic of the Lord Buddha.  Learn some interesting facts about the Buddhist religion and feel the peace in this famous mountain top sanctuary. A camera is essential equipment, as you take in the stunning views at 3,500 feet above sea level over the City of Chiang Mai.

1 day Trekking in Mae Wang district

This 'soft' trekking adventure will give you a real feel for the Northern Jungle terrain. First we drive 1.5 hrs to an Elephant camp where we take an hour long ride through the jungle, after leaving the Elephants we take a 20 minute trek to visit a Mhong Hilltribe village. After we continue another 30 minutes on foot to meet our bus which takes us to lunch. After our well deserved break we continue on foot to visit a Karon tribe, continue on foot to some lovely waterfalls where we can swim and relax, before we board a bamboo raft for a 1 hr adventure trip down stream on the Mae Wang river. Chiang Rai

The ancient city of Chiang Rai was once the capital of the fabled Lanna kingdom. It was founded in 1262 by king Mengrai as he began to extend his domain southwards. According to legend the city was built on the spot where he found his favorite elephant. He felt that the site along the banks of the Kok River was an auspicious one and thus Chiang Rai came into being. ( Map )


Off Road Adventure tour

Drive North of Chiang Rai in our 4 X 4 off road vehicle to Doi Mae Salong which is nestled in between the Thailand and Burmese borders. Our drivers skills are pushed to the limit as we travel to some hot springs. Visit Yao, Akha, and long neck hill tribes before we have lunch, then proceed to the peak of the mountain and take in the stunning views over Thailand, and Myanmar.

Hill Tribe and Mai Sai Border town excursion 

Leave our hotel with our guide by minibus, and drive to visit the authentic and colourful Yao Lahu and Long Neck hill tribes. Drive onto Mai Sai Border town with Myanmar, after looking around this bustling town, we continue onto see the Golden Triange, where the 3 borders meet. After a hearty lunch we travel onto Chiang Sean which is located on the steep banks of the Mae Khong River opposite Laos. Onto visit some magnificent ruins and ancient temples.
